Fashion Refugee

Welcome to my new blog. If you are reading this, you probably already know me personally. And depending on our level of familiarity, you may or may not need to read my introduction. I’ll go ahead with it, though, in case you want to keep reading.

I am a 28-year-old woman. I have just coined the term “Fashion Refugee” to describe myself. Essentially, that means that I quit my job in the corporate world of fashion design in order to pursue my own goals and figure out how to make a living at those interests.

Those goals are where this blog comes in. Last year, my New Year’s Resolution was to pay off my credit cards and save up enough money to live without income for a year. I met both of those goals at the end of December, just under the wire. And now, here I am, a free agent for the first time. And so, far, it feels good.

So, without further ado, here are a few of my BIG goals:

-Start my own company that manufactures fashion accessories and garments exclusively in the USA.

-Run a 5K with a competitive time.

-Learn something new every single day.

This blog will chronicle me throwing my ideas against the wall as they strike me. And you’ll just have to keep reading to see what sticks, because it will certainly be a surprise to me.
